Traffic Control Person (Flagger)

Occasional nights, weekends and holidays


  • Own means of transportation to and from work and have a valid Ontario G Class driver’s license (or equivalent) and a clean driving record
  • Traffic control experience (Asset)
  • Open Availability and willingness to work in all different weather conditions 
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • An understanding that this job is an outdoor position and that long periods of standing in the heat or cold is required

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Beacon Lite representative in a highly professional manner when interacting with customers and the public
  • Safely manage the flow of traffic through and around a construction site
  • Understand the road regulations and your duties as well as understand the type of work being completed
  • Understands that numerous hazards will be part of the job (i.e traffic volumes, speed limits, sight distances, weather etc.)
  • Follow and adhere to all road safety procedures and policies put in place to ensure the safety of you, your peers and the public
