Warehouse Assistant

We are looking for a hardworking warehouse associate to help us in our fast-paced warehouse. You will be performing an array of duties. As a warehouse assistant, you are responsible for pulling and preparing both rental and sales orders for pickup/delivery, receiving and processing incoming and outgoing rental stock and material requests, picking and filling orders, packing and loading customer trucks with orders etc. You are also responsible for helping to keep the warehouse space neat and orderly. This may involve moving inventory and helping with team reorganization efforts. It may also involve more routine cleaning and maintenance duties, as determined by the needs of the day and assigned by your supervisor or manager. The ideal candidate must enjoy a fast-paced environment and take pride in their work. Attention to detail and teamwork are key assets in this position.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, assemble, and fasten signs according to outlined specifications.
  • Assist road technicians with loading/unloading vehicles and keeping track of sales and rental inventory.
  • Perform quality assurance steps that confirm the contents of each order.
  • Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment. Report any malfunctions, insufficiencies etc to Manager.
  • Counting stock and keeping inventory records.
  • Assess incoming rental stock for damages and completing all necessary forms.
  • Enforces inventory controls by ensuring administrative protocols are followed. •
  • Highly conscious on minimizing material waste.
  • Comfortable and able to use basic power tools.
  • Skilled in prioritizing, organizing, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently to complete job requirements
  • Ability to multitask and organize workflow
  • High level of professionalism
  • Able to work closely and follow instructions from Supervisor and Manager.
  • Observes and follows all health and safety policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class G Driver’s License
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Team player and excellent communicator
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high stress environment
  • Forklift training/certification an asset. (Training can be provided to the right candidate)
  • Ability to lift up to 100lbs.
  • Must have good physical stamina.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting an asset

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-11 hour shifts (Between 6am and 5pm)

Overtime: As needed

Start date: As soon as possible
